Love is a verb. You can give it by showing kindness, through a shared experience, or by simply listening to someone. If you manage, somehow, to accomplish all three of those at the same time? Well, that’s a little bit of heaven on earth. This image is from a moment like that, and I will hold it in my heart and never let it go.
I wish you peace, joy, and an active verb. 😉
I’m not one for resolutions but I don’t want to leave 2017 without saying something to you so I’ll let my late uncles do the talking for me. Since they’re all passed this should be interesting. My mother’s three brothers were all characters and very different from one another—making them the best uncles ever and I loved each one dearly. You can take their advice into 2018 (or don’t) either way, they were awesome, and I wish you a bright, healthy, and Happy New Year!

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.
A best friend is someone who lets you venture out or someone who lets you stay close to the shore. Whichever friend you are there is no judgment in love—you just need to stand together in life’s current. I like that about best friends. 💛
The first two images were taken with the selfie lens on my iPhone7plus. I wasn’t planning on using that lens but I started experimenting with it at the first phase of the Eclipse and I really liked it. The final image is the more expected (and cropped) 82% Eclipse that we experienced here in the Tampa Bay area. We had a lot of fun at the office celebrating with a cookout and trying all sorts of ways to shoot the event. I hope you all had a good time too!
It just made me happy.

I like that about her.
Actually, I love that about her. 💖

Well, Burst Mode, on the iPhone that is. 😉 And because I forgot I got one shot, this one. Last night we were coming home (over the Causeway) when this cheeky pelican invited us to follow him. It was so exciting to see him there, over the water, all silhouetted at sunset and everything. Hahaha! And no idea that we were playing awesome music inside the car with each of us (me, my husband and our Yittle) getting to take turns picking a song, right at the moment he showed up to invite us into this beautiful flight scene. So lucky I had my trusty iPhone because even though he had invited us to follow we were about to pass him! Hahaha! A little cropping and editing in Adobe’s Aviary and voila!
I had to share though because this is a thing I love most about using the camera on my phone — chances/moments like this. Now when I think back on that exciting (soundtracked) moment with our cheeky pelican and that beautiful sunset, I’ll also have an image and that is a beautiful thing.
Have a great weekend everyone — I hope you don’t miss a moment of it. 🙂
